Emergency workers transported an injured male bicyclist to a Denver hospital following a bad spill this morning.

The racer was competing this morning in the “B-Strong” bike race in the 9000 block of Lefthand Canyon Drive when the male tumbled and received serious injuries.

“Paramedics were able to keep the victim alive at the scene and an air-ambulance from Flight for Life flew the cyclist to St. Anthony Central Hospital,” according to a news release.

The condition of the victim, whose name has not been released, was not immediately known.
