
The 2011 Colorado Walk for Hemophilia was held today, Aug. 13, around Sloan’s Lake just west of downtown Denver.
The event rose $40,000 for the Colorado Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, which is dedicated to preventing complications from bleeding disorders. Mostly it benefits children.
The event was organized by a team headed by executive director Emily Davis and Amy Board, program coordinator and camp director at the UCD Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center. Board is also an accomplished actor, having appeared in dozens of musicals in the area including “Les Miserables” at the Arvada Center.
