Based on Emily Giffin’s best seller, this grating comedy follows the tribulations of Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) once she sleeps with best friend Darcy’s (Kate Hudson) fiance. The movie twists itself into a knot trying to make the betrayal OK. It can’t. (No, it doesn’t matter that Darcy is smitten with herself.) John Krasinski makes the movie a smidge more tolerable as Ethan, Rachel’s friend with a jaundiced perspective on the whole affair. PG-13. 1 hour, 30 minutes. Lisa Kennedy, The Denver Post
