A 19-year-old was man arrested today in connection with the body of a 20-year-old found in a field behind an apartment complex Wednesday morning.
William Mickle died from “multiple strikes from a sharp object.” according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department.
Jordan Rowland, a registered sex offender among other past incidents, is being held without bond on charges of first-degree murder with extreme indifference.
Though information about his original charges are not available in adult criminal records, he pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender and was sentenced to six months in jail and given credit 77 days of time served in December 2010.
Five people — four women and one man — received restraining orders against Rowland in 2010, court records show.
