A man wanted for kidnapping fled from Colorado Springs police officers and two K9 teams Thursday night before he was tackled and bitten by one dog and finally arrested.
Callers reported Delaino Padilla, 19, in the area of 442 Spiceglen Drive at about 7:10 p.m. Padilla was wanted on suspicion of domestic violence kidnapping.
Padilla ran from officers, who sent K9 teams with Vader and Gunner to track him down. The chase went into and around a grocery store before Padilla escaped across Highway 115 and into a housing development.
Residents pointed officers in the direction of the fleeing suspect and canine Vader chased Padilla, bit him, and took him to the ground where officers placed Padilla in custody.
Padilla is being held in El Paso County jail without bond
