• Because of a reporting error, statistics attributed to Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith in a Page 13A story Monday about a Fort Collins ballot initiative to prohibit medical- marijuana dispensaries and grow operations were incomplete.
Smith said that since dispensaries opened in Larimer County, law enforcement has observed a 20 percent increase in marijuana-related incidents in the unincorporated areas of the county. In Fort Collins, there has been a 40 percent increase in marijuana-related incidents, and the Colorado Department of Transportation recently released a study showing an almost 50 percent increase in incidents of driving under the influence of drugs (marijuana) over that period as well, Smith said.
