FORT CARSON, Colo.—Soldiers from a Fort Carson bomb-disposal unit are returning from Iraq.

A welcome-home ceremony is set Wednesday for the 242nd Explosive Ordnance Battalion, although arrival schedules for returning troops often change.

The battalion spent about a year in Iraq. The soldiers performed and directed more than 1,500 missions, including about 850 emergency responses and 350 missions for reports of roadside bombs.
