FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Some Fort Collins residents say a crop duster airplane buzzed their houses and sprayed chemicals on their neighborhood while treating a field near their homes.

The Fort Collins Coloradoan reported Monday ( ) the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the complaints.

The incident occurred Saturday near a south Fort Collins neighborhood.

Stephanie Feller, who lives in the neighborhood, says the biplane would have crashed into her house if it had lost power.

Lee Bradford, who also lives in the neighborhood, says the chemical left a burning sensation in his eyes.

Bradford says pieces of cardboard dropped from the plane onto people taking photos of it.
