CRAIG, Colo.—About two dozen wildfires kept firefighters in northwest Colorado hopping over the weekend.

Interagency fire spokeswoman Lynn Barclay says lightning caused most of the fires.

Barclay says the majority of fires were on Bureau of Land Management land in Moffat and Rio Blanco counties.

There were four fires on private land in Moffat County, one on the Routt National Forest and one in Jackson County on private land.

The Chew Fire was the largest of the incidents at 50 acres on private land and it has been contained.
