DURANGO, Colo.—Firefighters in southwest Colorado are battling a 450-acre blaze near the HD Mountains near Bayfield.
Durango Interagency Fire Dispatch spokeswoman Pam Wilson says about 100 firefighters were expected on the firelines on Thursday. She said the fire started Wednesday by lightning.
Wilson said the fire was not contained. She said no buildings were threatened and no evacuations were planned.
