Boulder police arrested a man who they said was driving with a revoked license and hit a pedestrian — as well as another car — on Saturday morning in a parking lot at 2516 Broadway.
The man, Roberto Ledesma-Casa, 29, of Boulder, was arrested on suspicion of careless driving resulting in injury and driving with a revoked license. Police said Ledesma-Casa, driving a Ford Explorer, ran into Olivia Henderlite, 20, as she was walking in the parking lot before hitting a parked car.
Henderlite was taken to Boulder Community Hospital. Her injuries weren’t life-threatening.
Ledesma-Casa told police the gas pedal became stuck as he was driving, but police said the pedal appeared operational and instead blamed it on the flip-flop sandals he was wearing, causing his foot to slip under the pedal. His driver’s license was previously revoked for driving without insurance, police said.
