A 16-year-old runaway from Illinois thought to be hiding out in Denver turned himself in to police in his hometown.
Chris Carpenter fled from Naperville, Ill., on Aug. 22, leaving behind a note that he had run away. His parents, Mike and Janice Carpenter, then flew to Denver, only to find out from Naperville police that their son had turned up at the station.
