An exhibition of 70 paintings and drawings by Vincent van Gogh will be shown exclusively at the Denver Art Museum from Oct. 21, 2012, through Jan. 20, 2013, museum officials announced Wednesday.
The show, titled “Becoming Van Gogh,” will trace the post-impressionist’s artistic development, including his arrival in Paris in 1886 and his final years in Provence. Organized by the DAM and curated by Timothy Stand ring, curator of painting and sculpture, and Louis van Tilborgh, senior researcher of paintings at Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum, it will feature loans from more than 60 public and private collections in Europe and North America.
