ESTES PARK — The man who shot and killed a bear after he found it eating out of his fridge will not face charges, but officials are reminding people to take extra precautions as they visit bear country this season.
The bear, which last week entered the man’s cabin through an open window, aggressively approached the man and his family after they returned home. That’s when the man opened fire, wildlife officials said.
