A suspicious truck parked near Denver’s federal building Friday evening turned out to be harmless, but it did highlight law enforcement’s heightened response to potential threats as the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 approached. Fox 31 reported the truck was parked in a restricted area at 721 19th St., prompting a major police presence. The bomb squad responded, and a K-9 unit was deployed.
