Going to the Bronco’s game tonight? Here are a few tips to make parking and taking public transit easier.
Denver Public Works Right-of-Way Enforcement is reminding fans that posted parking restrictions around the stadium will be enforced for tonight’s game and games and special events throughout the season.
Parking restrictions extend from 9th Avenue north to 29th Avenue and from I-25 west to Sloan’s Lake. Restricted areas are marked with “No Parking Except A Permits” signs.
Unless parking at a lot on Mile High property, park only in lots that display a special event parking sign issued by City & County of Denver or clearly managed by reputable companies. The signs, which display the City & County of Denver seal and include the address of the lot, are a seal of approval that assures users their vehicles are parked legally.
There has been a proliferation of illegal parking lots where customers return to find their ride has been ticketed or towed. The signs display the seal of the City & County of Denver and include the address of the parking location.
The Regional Transportation District will increase capacity on the C and E Light Rail Lines to accommodate Bronco’s fans by 25 percent by adding a fourth car on those lines.
RTD will also operate additional trains as needed.
Passengers can also take the D, H or F light rail lines and transfer to the C or E lines at the I-25/Broadway, Alameda or 10th/Osage stations. Regular fares on light rail range from $2.25 to $5 one-way or $4.50 to $10 roundtrip, depending on trip length. It is recommended that passengers purchase a round-trip ticket at their initial boarding station to avoid ticket lines after the game.
RTD will also offer BroncosRide bus service from 26 park-n-Rides throughout the metro area. Passengers who have purchased the Broncos Short or Long Pass will be able to use their pass on BroncosRide bus service or aboard light rail to travel to and from the game. Ticket agents will be available at key stations. BroncosRide bus fares range from $8 to $10 roundtrip, depending on the trip length.
Due to the late kick-off time and the bus drivers’ allowable hours, the regular number of buses available to RTD is being reduced significantly. As a result, there will be no BroncosRide bus service from the Southmoor, Arapahoe and Littleton/Mineral Stations for the Monday Broncos game, but there will be light rail service available from each of those stations. The increased light rail capacity offered with the four-car trains will more than make up for those bus trips.
For specific route and schedule information, visit or call RTD at 303-299-6000. Those with hearing or speech impairments should call the TDD information service at 303-299-6089.
