A Vail man was arrested on suspicion of felony theft Friday, after he allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of donations to an Eagle County church.

Kevin Wall, 59, turned himself in and was released on a $10,000 cash bond, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

In 2009, St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Parish discovered irregularities in cash deposits made by Wall, a former church employee. After a two-year investigation, officials determined that Wall stole more than $20,000 of donations collected during services. If convicted, Wall could face up to 12 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000.
