Friends of Berthoud Pass has its second trash pick-up of the year scheduled for Saturday, which is National Public Lands Day. Beginning at 9 a.m., the group of powder-junkie volunteers will lead a garbage harvest on Berthoud Pass’ U.S. 40 pullouts at Current Creek, Hell’s Half Acre, Floral Park and Pumphouse. Meet at the summit parking lot and bring work gloves. A post pick-up party with hot grills and cold beer likely will follow.
