A Windsor man faces two felonies for a night in which his ex-girlfriend said he raped her after she had passed out from drinking.
Jacob Gilbert, 19, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sexual assault after the underage girl told police that in August, Gilbert gave her alcohol and raped her after she passed out.
Appearing in court for an advisement and bond setting Thursday, Gilbert said he didn’t understand what was going on, or why the girl was doing this to him. The Tribune will not name the girl because she is an alleged victim of sexual assault and a minor.
“I don’t agree with this at all, and I’m willing to take a lie detector test,” Gilbert told Weld District Court Judge Thomas Quammen. Quammen set his bond at $50,000.
