The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver, the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce said Thursday they will oppose a Denver ballot initiative requiring employers to provide paid sick leave. The chambers said Initiative 300 would add unnecessary costs and red tape. This month, nine University of Denver business and economics professors endorsed the measure, saying it would be good for workers and the economy.
