Englewood police are looking for a man suspected of attempting to kidnap a woman late Tuesday.
At 11:30 p.m., officers were called to the area of West Dartmouth Avenue and South Tejon Street, after a man reported hearing a woman scream, according to a news release from the Englewood Police Department.
Moments after arriving, a woman ran toward the officer’s patrol car and reported that a man had tried to kidnap her.
The woman told police she fought off her attacker before running to the patrol car.
She described the suspect as a man in his late teens or early 20s, 5 feet 8 to 10 inches tall, with a husky build. He was wearing a dark shirt and black jeans.
Police searched the area but found nothing.
