Two Fort Collins families were transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after colliding at the intersection of South Timberline Road and Vermont Drive this afternoon.
According to a Fort Collins police news release, a 2001 Dodge Durango carrying an adult and four children aged 10, 7, 5 and 2 years old was traveling north on Timberline when it collided with a 2009 Honda sedan attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Vermont Drive.
The Honda was carrying two adults and a 2-year-old child.
Northbound Timberline Road was closed at Horsetooth Road for four and one-half hours while police investigated the crash.
Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
