Getting your player ready...

Why go now: The leaf-peeping is hitting its peak, and with more than 600 miles of marked and mapped trails, the Winter Park-Fraser Valley area is a good choice for getting up close to the gorgeous gold aspens that cover these hills. Sweet singletrack abounds, alternating between secluded alpine and open meadows, technical climbs and smooth, level family jaunts. Beginner-intermediate riders can start with moderate challenges such as the 5.3-mile Flume/Creekside loop trail that starts out at the St. Louis Creek Campground, while those looking for a more vigorous workout can check out Tipperary Creek, a 20-miler with some nice climbs and sustained downhills; it starts just past the rodeo arena in Fraser.
