PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo.—Usually it’s Arapahoe Basin and Loveland ski areas vying to be the first to open for the season. This year, the winner is: Wolf Creek Ski Area.
The ski area in southern Colorado opened Saturday after recently getting three feet of new snow.
Loveland was the first Colorado resort to open last year on Oct. 24, with Arapahoe Basin starting its season a day later.
