Getting your player ready...

Have changed much in the last few years of recording lo-fi, near-twee goodness? Not a whole lot. Listen to “This Love is Fucking Right!,” a standout track off their 2009 debut. And then listen to “Heart in Your Heartbreak” off the band’s latest, “Belong.”

Sure, “Heart in Your Heartbreak” is ten times more polished than “This Love is Fucking Right!,” but the similarities are uncanny. While it’s easy to miss the fuzzed-out charm of the band’s early days, they’re staying true to their initial sound: Simple structure, detached vocals, brash guitars and Smiths-like melodies.

THIS LOVE IS FUCKING RIGHT!

And …

HEART IN YOUR HEARTBREAK

This is why we’re psyched for their show on Tuesday at the in Denver. They’re not the most explosive live band, but they’re sharp and fun, and where else are you going to feed your wimp-pop fix?

We’re giving away some tickets to the show right here and now, so what are you waiting for?
