ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Authorities say they have new information that may lead police to victims of suspected serial killer David Parker Ray, including an Albuquerque woman who went missing in 1995.
Albuquerque police are expected Tuesday to join the FBI and New Mexico State Police during a search around Elephant Butte Lake. Authorities say they think that is where Ray may have buried some of his victims.
Ray, who was from the Elephant Butte area, died in 2002 while serving life in prison for sexual torture. He boasted in writings that he had 40 victims, but no bodies have ever been located.
Albuquerque police have long believed Ray was connected to the disappearance of Jill Troia, who was last seen at the Frontier Restaurant with Ray’s daughter.
