A rare, two-story horse-drawn wagon, featured in parades across Colorado, was destroyed early Wednesday in a barn fire near Windsor.

The antique wagon was one of a kind, with a heavy metal frame and wood siding, said Darin Henry, who rents the property and owned everything inside the barn.

It stood two stories tall and was designed to hold and carry a band during parades and other events. It took at least three horses to pull.

“It just can’t be replaced; it’s one of those things,” Henry said.

Firefighters were called to the barn, near the intersection of Colorado 392 and Weld County 21, at 7:12 a.m., said Chief Herb Brady, spokesman for the Windsor Severance Fire Protection District.
