The weather in Denver is fall-like, but the mountains are ready for winter.
Arapahoe Basin ski area will open today, and its Black Mountain Express will open at 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, Loveland Ski Area announced that it will open at 9 a.m. Friday.
A-Basin says there is an 18-inch base on the intermediate High Noon run, along with several features in the High Divide Terrain Park.
Wolf Creek Ski Area in southern Colorado was the first out of the gate in the state this season, opening Saturday.
