DURANGO, Colo.—Two firefighters are recovering from injuries suffered while fighting a fire in a log cabin near Lemon Reservoir.

The fire broke out while owner Andy Kausalik was working outside the cabin located about 15 miles northeast of Durango. The cabin was destroyed.

According to the Durango Herald ( ), the two firefighters were taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

Charles Bennett was treated for smoke inhalation and released, and Lt. Roy Vreeland was admitted for further evaluation. Kausalik suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene.
