Colorado Springs are looking for three 11-year-old runaways suspected of carrying out a pact to run away, steal food and hide out at night in a mattress store.
The boys were not named, but KKTV in Colorado Springs identified them as Trevor Folkers, Alexander Callihan and Logan Schubert after speaking with one of the boys’ parents.
They were reported missing at about 5:30 p.m. after one their parents learned they were not at an after-school homework program, which the boys had said they were attending, at Mountain Ridge Middle School.
Fearing the children had been abducted, police talked to the boys’ friends who said the trio “had planned to runaway, steal food from Albertsons, and sleep in a mattress store (after hiding there at closing time),” according to the Colorado Springs online police blotter.
They were last seen by a friend at 4 p.m. near the Chapel Hills Mall.
“No indicators of foul play,” police noted in their report tonight.
