Garfield County Search and Rescue is continuing to search for a missing fisherman today after recovering his boat, which sank in the Colorado River last week.
The boat was removed from the Colorado River at 12:15 p.m. this afternoon.
The Garfield County Emergency Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call at 3:51 p.m. Oct. 14 about a missing person in the Colorado River.
The caller reported that his friend’s boat collided with a bridge piling and his friend was ejected into the water near the Rifle boat launch.
The caller and another person on the boat made it safely to shore.
The missing fisherman has not been identified.
