COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say a 55-year-old man was fatally shot when he entered an El Paso County home and confronted people inside.
El Paso County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Lt. Lari Sevene says authorities believe the man entered broke into the home and was shot in the abdomen after a struggle with people in the house Saturday night. There were at least two people inside.
Sevene told the Colorado Springs Gazette ( ) the man was airlifted to a hospital and died there. She says the people in the house knew the man.
His name was not released.
