MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK, Colo.—Two prescribed burns are planned this week at Mesa Verde National Park.
Park officials say one fire is aimed at reducing the danger of wildfires next to the park’s hotel, Far View Lodge. The other fire will remove brush that has spread in the Chapin Mesa Safety Zone that was created 10 years ago.
