DENVER—The Denver Police Department is testing officer-worn video cameras to gather evidence.

According to KMGH-TV ( ), the cameras are cheaper than dashboard-mounted cameras.

American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado public policy director Jessie Ulibarri said in a written statement Tuesday that the ACLU supported using body-worn cameras in response to the myriad allegations of police misconduct and excessive use of force.
