A man was arrested in northern Colorado this morning for allegedly assaulting two people with nunchucks – a martial arts weapon.

Eric Leon Glukowsky, 31, was taken into custody at about 5:45 a.m. at his home, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office media release.

At about 12:40 a.m. deputies were called to the 4000 block of Goodell Lane on a report of an assault.

Deputies found two people who “had been injured by nunchucks, a martial arts weapon which is classified as a deadly weapon.”

Investigators believe the assault stemmed from an “on-going neighbor dispute.”

Glukowsky “barricaded himself in his apartment and refused to come out,” the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies attempted numerous times to contact Glukowsky by phone without success, eventually they broke a window in his home and were then able to make phone contact, the release said.

Glukowsky surrendered without further incident. He was taken to the Larimer County Jail and held on suspicion of second degree assault.

The pair who were beaten with nunchucks were taken to Poudre Valley Hospital, treated for lacerations and released.
