An elementary-school teacher in Denver told police she left a note at her school saying, “There is a bomb inside.”
According to the district attorney’s office, Jennifer Gomes allegedly left the note because she did not want to be at school that day.
According to the police report, Gomes admitted to leaving the note Oct. 17 at the main entrance of Escuela de Guadalupe, at West 34th Avenue and Pecos Street.
Officials at the bilingual private Catholic school told 9News that Gomes has been suspended. She has taught physical education at the school since spring 2010.
Gomes has been charged with one count of false reporting of explosives, a Class 6 felony. 9News
