DENVER—Police and prosecutors say a gym teacher who didn’t want to be at school last week left a note at her elementary school saying there was a bomb inside.

Officials at the private, bilingual school Escuela de Guadalupe tell KUSA-TV in Denver () that 42-year-old Jennifer Gomes has been suspended. She is free on a $2,000 bond.

Police say the note was left at the school’s main entrance Oct. 17. A police report says Gomes allegedly admitted leaving the note.

Gomes faces a charge of false reporting of explosives. She didn’t immediately return a phone call Tuesday seeking comment.
