LAMAR, Colo.—The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has ordered Colorado East Bank & Trust of Lamar to pay a civil penalty of $5,000.
The FDIC issued the order last month and announced it Friday. It said the bank agreed to the issuance of the order without admitting to any violations of the law.
An FDIC spokeswoman and bank manager didn’t return phone messages seeking details of what led to the penalty.
