Boulder police today released a composite sketch of a man suspected of going into four homes in the same block early Sunday, including one in which he attempted a sexual assault.

The man is described as white, about 5-feet, 9-inches tall. He was said to have a medium build, short, light brown hair in a buzz-cut style. He wore a dark jacket and blue jeans, police said this afternoon.

Three of the homes were in the 1100 block of Lincoln Place and a fourth was in the 1000 block of Pleasant Street, a block away. The crimes happened between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The neighborhood is off College Avenue about five blocks west of the University of Colorado campus.

Police urged residents to be sure their doors and windows are locked.

Anyone with information can call Boulder police at 303-441-3333 or Boulder County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or 800-444-3776. There is a $1,000 reward.
