DENVER—The Colorado Department of Revenue says the state’s tax amnesty program has collected more than $800,000 since it began last month.
According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel ( ), the money comes from more than 1,000 tax returns filed by Colorado businesses and individual taxpayers who owed back taxes.
Lawmakers say they hope the program will bring in at least $10 million to the state’s coffers.
The amnesty expires Nov. 15.
