AURORA, Colo.—Former Aurora City Councilman Steve Hogan was leading the race for mayor in Colorado’s third-largest city.
Hogan led a six-person field that included Ryan Frazier, a Republican who unsuccessfully ran for Congress last year against Democratic Rep. Ed Perlmutter in the 7th District.
Hogan and Frazier both supported a proposed Gaylord hotel complex for the Denver suburb. The Aurora City Council has voted to provide up to $300 million worth of incentives for the complex, which could lure the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo from Denver.
