HealthGrades and CPM today announced a merger to create an online company to help consumers choose physicians and hospitals by accessing informational databases about patient safety, satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Denver-based HealthGrades currently provides information online about doctors and hospitals while CPM provides hospitals with customer relationship management solutions.
Together the companies expect an online platform with at least 200 million visits annually.
“With more than 1.5 billion physician appointments and 36 million hospital admissions annually, consumers need objective information to select a doctor or hospital,” CPM CEO John Hallick said.
CPM is based in Madison, Wisc.
