Three people were injured tonight when their car plunged into the Big Thompson River about 4 miles from Estes Park.
Two women were immediately taken to the hospital in a private car after the car ran off U.S. Highway 34 at about 6:15 p.m., and man was pulled out alive by a dive team sometime later, said State Trooper Heather Cobler.
He was rushed to Estes Park Medical Center in serious condition, Cobler said.
Their names have not been released. How long the man was in the water was not immediately available.
The submerged car was still in the river at about 8:20 p.m., Cobler said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
