Grand Junction police say 32-year-old Leslie Lincoln Lind didn’t bother with a mask, or hardly anything else, when he robbed a convenience store there Monday night.
Lind wore only his socks at the store, and then subsequently stole a bottle of booze and a pack of cigarettes from a nearby liquor store, Grand Junction TV station KJCT8 reported.
And the night got worse from there for Lind, according to arrest documents obtained by the station.
After the thefts, officers stopped Lind on the street, and allegedly found a pipe and bag of marijuana in his hand.
After he was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction to access his mental well-being, Lind tried to punch a police officer in the face, but missed and fell to the floor.
He was eventually booked into the Mesa County Jail on charges of theft under $500, public indecency, felony assault on a police officer and possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is free on $7,500 bond.
Court records show Lind has a lengthy arrest record in Mesa, La Plata and Garfield counties, including several drug arrests, as well as charges of trespassing, drunken driving, arson, menacing and assault daring back 14 years.
