Colorado State fell in overtime 56-52 to Arizona State on Sunday at Moby Arena in Fort Collins.

The Rams (0-2, 0-0 Mountain West) kept it close the entire game. The Sun Devils’ (2-0, 0-0 Pac-12) largest lead was nine, with the lead changing eight times.

Trailing by three points with 30 seconds to go in overtime, the Rams had the last possession of the game. Senior Kim Mestdagh attempted a 3-point shot but was unable to convert.

Playing 41 minutes, sophomore Sam Martin scored 17 points and collected five rebounds. Junior Meghan Heimstra went out of the game holding her left thigh with six minutes left. She never came back and ended up with six rebounds and four points.

MARTIN, Tenn. — The Falcons took a 14-11 lead in the first five minutes of the game, but the Skyhawks knocked down seven 3-pointers in the half to take a 41-33 halftime lead.

UT Martin pulled away after the intermission, going on a 15-4 run to start the half. The Skyhawks took advantage of 18 second-half turnovers by the Falcons.

Junior Alicia Leipprandt led the Falcons’ with 16 points, while teammate Katie Hilbig pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
