Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw are already looking past the holidays (and dreary late-winter months) to the 2012 summer concert season. The country megastars will reunite for the 19-date “Brothers of the Sun” tour, which takes over football stadiums around the country June 2-Aug. 25 next year. The tour, with openers Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and Jake Owen, swings by Sports Authority Field at Mile High on July 21. Check back here or in the coming weeks for on-sale dates and prices.
Kelly Clarkson’s career has often paralleled the stories of the fierce, hard-luck characters in her songs, finding peaks and valleys in unlikely places and returning better for the experiences. The durable singer, who last year recorded a hit single with country star Jason Aldean (“Don’t You Wanna Stay”) and last month released her fifth album, “Stronger,” returns to Denver on March 18 for a show at the 1stBank Center, with opener Matt Nathanson. Peter Frampton will resurrect his career-defining breakthrough, “Frampton Comes Alive!” at the Paramount Theatre on March 27. The three-hour performance is an extension of this year’s 35th-anniversary tour for the live double LP, which also includes selections from Frampton’s recent solo work. Rammstein will pummel the Front Range on as part of its 2012 North American tour, which brings the German metal band’s fire-breathing stage show to 21 venues around the continent. Tickets for the May 20 Denver Coliseum concert are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($44.50-$84.50, )
