FORT COLLINS — LaShay Page hit 8-of-11 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 30 points as Southern Mississippi defeated Colorado State 79-58 on Saturday night.

Maurice Bolden added 11 points and six rebounds for the Golden Eagles (2-1), who outrebounded Colorado State 37-18 overall and 14-4 on the offensive glass.

Greg Smith had 18 points and Jesse Carr 13 for the Rams (2-2), who were missing power forward Pierce Hornung (concussion). Southern Mississippi buried the Rams in the first half, shooting 60 percent from the floor and making 7-of-12 3-pointers to lead 47-28.

Metro State 69, Black Hills State 51.

Brandon Jefferson scored a career-high 30 points as the host Roadrunners (4-0) held the Yellow Jackets to 30.4 percent shooting.

Jefferson hit 9-of-13 from the floor, including four 3-pointers, and made 8-of-10 at the line. He also added five rebounds. Jefferson entered the game in a shooting slump, shooting just 25 percent in the first three games this season.

Green Bay 52, Wyoming 44

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Alec Brown scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Phoenix, which pulled away in the last four minutes.

Leonard Washington led the Cowboys (2-1) with 11 points and nine rebounds, and JayDee Luster scored 10 points.

Presbyterian 56, No. 20 Cincinnati 54

CINCINNATI — Khalid Mutakabbir led Presbyterian’s comeback from a 15-point deficit, hitting a go-ahead 3-pointer with 7.6 seconds left as the Blue Hose pulled off a stunning upset.

The Blue Hose (3-2) trailed by 15 midway through the second half. Mutakabbir hit one big shot after another, including his 3 from the left wing that gave Presbyterian its first lead of the second half. He matched his career high with 25 points.

Cincinnati (2-1) missed an attempt to tie at the end, with Cashmere Wright’s shot going off the rim. Presbyterian got the rebound, the buzzer sounded and the celebration started at midcourt while 4,960 fans booed the home team.

No. 2 Kentucky 85, Penn State 47

UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Doron Lamb scored 26 points while Kyle Wiltjer added 19 points and Terrence Jones had 15 points, nine rebounds and five assists for Kentucky (3-0), which failed to put five players in double figures for the first time this season in a Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament game.

San Diego State 77, Long Beach State 73 (OT)

SAN DIEGO — Jamal Franklin hit two free throws with 3.9 seconds left in overtime as the Aztecs (5-1) improved their winning streak over unranked opponents to 47.

HOUSTON — Alicia Leipprandt scored a season-high 20 points and Dymond James contributed a season-high 17 points, including 9-of-10 shooting at the free-throw line. The Falcons (2-2) are off to their best start since the 2005-06 season.
