Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward to help Denver police catch a police impersonator who robbed two people Tuesday.
The man, who wore a dark uniform and a badge, waved a flashlight from his dark-green sport utility vehicle to pull over a driver near West Second Avenue and Julian Street at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
When the driver pulled over, the “cop” became a robber. A short time later, a man fitting the same description walked up and robbed a person in the 1300 block of Lipan Street.
The man is described as Latino and about 5 feet 7 inches tall.
