About 350 sick children will pick out gifts for their loved ones Friday, December 2, during the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado’s holiday Wish Store at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora.

“For many invited children, the Wish Store is their only opportunity to participate in the holiday shopping tradition as they are discouraged from visiting crowded places or are too ill to even leave the hospital,” the Make-A-Wish Foundation said today.

The children who were invited have had wishes granted by the foundation or they are patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

The event allows children to think of those they love, as well as pick out something for themselves, courtesy of Make-A-Wish sponsors and donors.

“Gifts for mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and even furry four-legged friends are available for selection; and all gifts are free of charge for the young shoppers,” Make-A-Wish stated.

The 25th annual event this year will feature a visit from Santa Claus, local sports celebrities, a magician, face-painting and other fun.
