Police on Saturday identified a man wounded by an officer in Fort Collins.
Scott Mendias, 41, remains hospitalized with unspecified injuries after he was shot Friday near College Avenue and Myrtle Street, police said in a news release.
The officer involved was identified as Michael Crosland, a nine-year veteran of the force.
Police were responding to a report of a man with a gun. Witnesses said the man had been “acting crazy” before the incident.
Following standard procedure, Crosland is on paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.
